a lot of amazingness (the weekend eats post).

So it's not unknown that it's our first time to Hawaii and if you couldn't tell before you can tell now because we are amazed at essentially everything we see or do.  So, amazing is our theme for today; nothing is boring and everything is just really really great.

Prepare for a picture blow up post ya'll.

(my amateur panorama of Kaneohe Bay)

So a recap of our amazing weekend begins with our Friday which started off late per usual because Woody and I always play the "I don't know, what do you want to do" game. So we decided to check out Ala Moana Mall, Hawaii's largest mall...and ta-da the most amazing mall we've ever been to.

By the time we got there and figured out how and where to park in this mega-mall it was about to close so I got a few trinkets for Mother's Day coming up and of course had to get some grub..where more amazing-ness happened:

So if you ever want to spend money like your at The Cheesecake Factory, order a Steak meal and Lobster & Shrimp pasta from the Food Court.

After our "ono" ('good to eat' in Hawaiian) dinner we headed out to the Hilton-Wakiki to really get our tourist on and get a few cocktails at Tapas Bar

creepin'

kicked off Cinco de Mayo with a delish Sangria.

SATURDAY.
We headed to the infamous North Shore and did a little beach therapy. The beach shorelines are sometimes nonexistent, but we found one with plenty of sand. (I put sunscreen on generously this time)

Of course we couldn't leave this part of the island without going to the famous Giovanni's Aloha Shrimp truck!

garlic goodness.

shaved ice.

We saw Iron Man 3 that night and got our mexican treat at a hole-in-the-wall place called El Mariachi.

...which was a BYOB restaurant?!!! I've never heard of such a place, which would've been great in my earlier drinking days. But I was just plain sad cause I wanted a Margarita with my chimichanga.
screw vegetables.

SUNDAY.

Toby Keith and Cinco de Mayo!

I got one too many watermelon margaritas, drunk tweeted, and rocked out with my white solo cup(they ran out of red..an outrage!)
This day, I missed the South very much (but I didn't drunk cry)  but was happy to see so many Cowboy hats and boots. Not so happy to see little teenagers in the shortest shorts ever. But, it wouldn't be a country concert without that fashion statement.

The weekend was a success.  I had my cinco de mayo margarita binge and country music.
Life is good.

AND we got a house!!!

Thanks for sitting through that long post! I do realize I should probably not take so many pictures of what we eat.

Hope your weekend was amazing & Happy Monday!
